A place to talk, not talk, wrestle, listen and experience being listened to
MaddyChristine Hope ~ Spiritual Director
Both Nathan and I were transformed by our Pilgrimage experience. We did not know what to expect when we endeavored our Camino. Nathan first walked the French route into Santiago; Maddy walked a Portuguese route her first time around. Nathan went by himself, whereas Maddy chose to travel with an organized group. Nathan would have preferred to walk in community. Maddy, though signing up with a group, ended up walking mostly in silence and solitude
You see, there is no one way to walk a Pilgrimage. And there certainly isn't a right or wrong way. We hope to help you find your way.
Nathan and I reconnected years after Nathan was our family's caseworker when we were fostering/adopting our children Through social media, we learned we both have a love for walking and are now on a mission to walk the Horshoe Trail (PA) together.
How delightful all this brought us to offer Pilgrimages to others.
With a love for walking. I walked my first Pilgrimage in June 2023. I have quite a few Spiritual Rhythms in my life and after my Camino. | knew that I wanted to add a yearly personal Pilgrimage to my Rhythm. That is how transformative my time on the Camino was.
Even before going on my Pilgrimage, I dreamed about taking others along.
I recognize I am a healthier, more content, peaceful, and more joyful person when I engage in nature, with silence while I am walking. My three passions come together during the Pilgrimage we are offering.
Maddy about her Pilgrimage: ‘I had a certain intention for my Camino. That intention changed the day before I was to depart. I put my intention aside, and instead, paid attention to the invitation I was sensing now; to let go and simply Be! That did not feel like an easy task. I chose to walk most of my Pilgrimage in silence and solitude, and something remarkable and almost unexplainable happened; I got in touch with my essence like never before. It felt so pure, so joyful, and I felt so attached and incredibly one with God’s voice. I reached deep peace in my being.’

When not attending his kids’ sports games on the weekend, you will find him in the woods, traveling, or taking in meaningful stories wherever they can be found. He loves the art of storytelling and the pure act of creation. Nathan looks forward to walking on the Camino with you - as we journey together, Nathan will help you connect with nature around you, yourself, and what you may be hearing from outside yourself through reflective inquiry. He will also offer one-on-one Coaching to support your personal intention, and what you are processing and experiencing as a Pilgrim on the Camino.
Nathan about his Pilgrimage: “My time on the Camino helped me reimagine my life - more than just processing; it cracked open the question “there has to be another way to do life,” and I was called to something new. There was a profound letting go, a re-connecting with myself, and a new frame of reference for the divine. Pilgrimage offered me a cocktail of time alone, time with nature, and time with others that created the space for a deep change within me that eventually trickled out into every area of my life. I injured a knee, limped through blisters, and walked with tears running down my face as I listened to the call I was receiving in my heart. I’m changed.”
