Wild Retreat

During this retreat, we will guide you into the Wild, where you can connect more deeply with yourself and the natural world. Through a few intentional practices, we’ll help you experience nature’s wisdom, rhythm, and presence..

We will spend some of the day in community, and you will also have time in silence and solitude; we call this your personal retreat time.

This is not a walking day; we walk briefly to a spot where we gather, and we will stay close to that area throughout the day.

Online Visio Divina Lent Series

~ An Online Visio Divina series to be intentional during the Easter Season ~

We often think of Lent as a time when we ‘give up’ something to connect with Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness and fasting.

How have you considered adding to your life for those 40 days? Adding something that allows you to be present to the Lent season in a way that feeds your relationship with God.

In this series, we meet online for a contemplative time using Visio Divina. Visio Divina is an ancient form of Christian prayer in which we allow our heart and imagination to enter into an image in silence to see what God might have to say to us.

You will ponder upon an image fitted to the season, combined with a passage from the Bible. You can then engage with contemplation questions that are provided to help you travel to the deeper places of your soul.

Tuesdays during Lent ~ 7 - 8.15 pm ~ Sliding Scale $60 - $90 ~ 6 gatherings ~ Please pay what fits best for your situation; the scale equals $10-15 per gathering.

Pilgrimage

Ever thought of going on a Pilgrimage? Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela: eight-day trip, six days of walking.

What a day looks like:

~ We will have breakfast in the hotel, at our own convenience.

~ Before we start our day of walking, we will gather for group meditation and group processing, and we also invite you into a walking practice each day that you can choose or choose not to engage with.

👣 Your Personal Pilgrimage; every day, we help you connect with your intention for your  Pilgrimage and your desires and needs for the day.

👣 How can you renew, adjust, and shift your walking for that day?

👣 A Coaching or Spiritual Direction session is available each day upon request.

~ The walking part; you may walk alone, there may be times you walk with another, there may be times when you walk with a stranger. You might be drawn to visit a chapel or venture off the trail.

* You will come across the most precious coffee spots to take a break and eat or purchase your lunch.
* Very likely, you will arrive at the hotel in time for freshening up, a dive in a pool (some hotels might have a pool or natural hot spa) before our evening gathering. You may also still have enough energy to explore the town.

~ Evening gathering with guided meditation and group processing.

~ Dinner; everyone can venture out on their own while we will also set up a dinner reservation for those who want to stay close to the hotel in order to get a good night’s rest.

Online One Word Check-in Retreat Saturday (Also offered on Friday, May 10th)

If you engage with the One Word spiritual practice and have been living with your word for the past four/five months, consider joining the online community to process how this word is forming you and your year. Or perhaps you would like to refresh your focus on the Word given to you at the beginning of the year.

It is also never too late to start. Perhaps you are new to this practice and want to live with a One-Word for the remainder of the year; you can still let your word find you.

I have been noticing how my One Word has been a good friend this year, a friend who keeps showing up and encouraging me to hang out.

I was surprised to notice that, slowly, I was giving meaning to my One Word rather than letting God do a work in me with my Word.

We can have a tendency to see our One Word as something we need to work on. What would it be like to consider that your One Word could be more of a promise than an assignment?

I wonder how your One Word has been helping you on your journey. Have you become friends? Have you forgotten about him/her? Have you wanted to toss her/him aside? Have you been too busy to pay attention? Do you desire to reconnect?

In this online retreat we will engage in guided conversation about our One Word, spend time in retreat on our own with a Spiritual Practice, and then process together.

Cost $20 (This Retreat will take place with a minimum of 3 people.)

New Year Retreat 2

Due to great demand, I have added another New Year Retreat Day.

During this retreat, we become aware of what we desire in this new year, and we connect with longings and invitations God has for us. We let go of things we don’t want or need and set intentions. We also put things in place to be conscious of these movements, not just in January but throughout the year.

We embrace 5 themes:

Letting go of what we don’t need ~ Longing ~ What God longs for us ~ Invitation ~ Setting Intention

We do this through spiritual practices like “One Word,” “Rhythm of Life,” and a Compass Examen.

You will get plenty of retreat time in silence and solitude, and we will process in an intimate and safe setting.

I also offer an online “One Word check-in” Retreat in May. This is an opportunity to look at how your One Word is guiding you in the year; how is your Word helping you stay intentional and focused? You might also find that you lost your connection to your Word, and this offers you a restart and a moment to reconnect with what was revealed to you back in January.

Retreats are limited to 10 people to harbor intimacy.

Cost $135, which includes snacks and lunch.

September New Season Compass Retreat

September New Season Compass Retreat

Whether or not we have children going back to school at the end of the summer or we return to school ourselves, for many, September feels like a new season, a time for new beginnings.

In this retreat, we pause first using the beautiful location of Brookview Farm and its precious grounds with a creek and outdoor living room. From a place of rest, we can look at the upcoming season.

Using a personal compass spiritual practice, we look at the different directions that lay at our feet. We will identify longing, orientation, perspective, and terrain.

  • What new movements do you sense?

  • How are you invited to embrace something new?

  • What needs to end in order to go in a forward direction?

  • What systems or things no longer work in your life?

  • Who is present to you on your journey?

  • What nurtures and sustains you?

  • What does a full yes look like?

  • What is God pausing? What is God starting?

Refreshing, Spacious, Readiness, Excitement, and Relief are keywords for this retreat.

Retreats are limited to 8 people to harbor intimacy.

Cost $125, which includes snacks and lunch.

Silent Saturday - Seeing in the dark Silent Retreat

Jesus has been crucified and is placed in the tomb. It is now Sabbath, the day of rest. All we can do, perhaps, is be still and give space for contemplation.

Join me today to do just that. Today we can look to Jesus and His suffering, and it might offer us a time to look at our own suffering and find comfort in knowing Jesus understands us.

  • What suffering are you currently experiencing?

  • What mourning do you have to do?

  • What do you want to give space to today?

Come for a day of silence where stations are offered to help you process. You are invited to come as you are, where you are.

  • $125 (Coffee, tea, snacks and lunch provided) I would like this to be available to all; please contact me when financial sensitivity is needed.
